Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mohol organized Mahila Melava on 19th December, 2019 under Agriculture Technology Mahotsav 2019-20. At this event, Dr. V. M. Amrutsagar, Chief Scientist & Associate Director of Research, ZARS, Solapur was Chief guest. Also, Shri. Basavraj Birajdar, DSAO, Solapur, Dr. Dhananjay Jagdale, Deputy Commissioner, Animal Husbandary, Mohol Zone, Shri. Rajendra Pingale, Agriculture Supervisor, Malshiras Taluka, Prof. D. D. Kadam, Officer Incharge, ARS, Mohol, Shri. S. B. More, I/c TAO, Mohol were present.

During this event, Farmers Melava on 20th December, 2019 and Rural Youth Melava on 21st December, 2019 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mohol was conducted under Agriculture Technology Mahotsav 2019-20.

World Food Day – 2019 with the theme Healthy Diets for #Zero Hunger World on 16th October, 2019

MPKV’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mohol Dist- Solapur celebrated World Food Day- 2019 with the theme Healthy Diets for #Zero Hunger World under UNICEF funded project ” Farming System for Nutrition (FSN). Guided the participants on Nutrition Garden Concept, Biofortified crop varieties of Wheat, Pearl Millet, Quality Protein Maize (QPM) and Nurient dense options viz Nutri cereals, Orange flesh sweet potato, Pomegranate (Hybrid)- Solapur Lal & Technologies and safe practices for Processing. Dr. Yogesh Deshmukh, FSO, FDA Solapur joined hands with FSSAI act, Food Safety and Eat Right Movement.

Solapur to inaugurate the MPKV Seed Sale counter at KVK, Mohol and to review the activities and progress on 05 October, 2019.

“Tree Plantation Drive” and “Kisan Goshti” on 17.09.2019

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mohol, Dist. Solapur conducted “Tree Plantation Drive” and “Kisan Goshti” on 17.09.2019 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mohol to create awareness and importance of Tree Plantation amongst the Farmers and Farm Women. During this event tree plantation by Staff members of KVK, Mohol, Farmers as well as Farm women were conducted.

Kisan Mela under Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA) 2019 on 3rd September, 2019

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mohol, Dist. Solapur in collaboration with Maharashtra State Agriculture Department and Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Solapur jointly organized “Kisan Melava” Under “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” at Smruti Bhavan, Akluj, Tal. Malshiras, Dist. Solapur on 03 September, 2019 (Wednesday). On this occasion, Pranjal Patil, Asst. Secretary, Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Government of India, Shri. Siddharth Bachhan, Block Nodal Officer, Malshiras, Sau. Vaishnavidevi Arjunsinh Mohite โ€“ Patil, Sabhapati, Panchayat Samiti, Malshiras, Shri. Ravindra Mane, Dy. Director, Water Conservation, Solapur, Dr. T. R. Walkunde, I/c Programme Co-ordinator & SMS (ASDS), Shri. Ravindra Kamble, SDAO, Pandharpur, Shri. Gajanan Nanaware, TAO, Malshiras, Dr. L. R. Tambade, Programme Co-ordinator, KVK, Solapur were present. During this event Agriculture Exhibition, Technical Sessions on different topics were organized for the farmers. Also, folder on “Vihir va Kupanalika Punarbharan” was published with the auspicious hands of dignitaries.

Training Programme on Preparation and Dissemination of Agromet Advisories for SMS (Agromet) and Observers under GKMS at DAMUs in KVKs of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Goa during 19-24 August, 2019

Training Programme on Preparation and Dissemination of Agromet Advisories for SMS (Agromet) and Observers under GKMS at DAMUs in KVKs of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Goa during 19-24 August, 2019 Inaugurated at ICAR-NRC on Pomegranate Solapur. The training programme was organized in collaboration with ICAR-ATARI, Pune, IMD, Pune, ICAR-NRC on Pomegranate, Solapur and KVK, Mohol, Dist. Solapur. The 6 days training programme for newly recruited SMS (Agromet) and Observers was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Jyotsna Sharma, Director (Acting), ICAR-NRCP, Solapur. On this occasion Dr. Lakhan Singh, Director, ATARI, Pune, Dr. Kripan Ghosh, Head, Agrimet Dept.,IMD, Dr. DVS Reddy, Pr. Scientist, ATARI, Bengaluru were present. Dr. Jyotsna Sharma, Director, ICAR-NRCP in her inaugural address highlighted to participants the importance of agro meteorological advisories to the farmers in general and the horticultural crops in specific. She emphasized importance of dedication and commitment in professional life to all the newly recruited SMS and Observers. Dr. Lakhan Singh, Director, ATARI, Pune welcomed all the SMS and observers to NARS system and oriented them towards their role and responsibilities. He also underlined the importance of agromet advisories in planning farm operation, input use efficiency etc. Dr K. Ghosh, Head, Agrimet Dept., IMD highlighted the importance of the precise data collection. He also provided an overview of the training programme.
